Cenote Chichen Itza
This is the closest cenote to Chichen Itza, which is how it earned its name. This cenote has long vines hanging down the side of the cave walls. Due to its location, this is the cenote that many tours go to when they visit Chichen Itza, meaning it can be crowded during busy seasons.
Cenote Suytun
The cool thing about this cenote is that it has a small hole at the top that lets light in. For this reason, it’s become a famous place to take pictures.
Cenote Maya
Cenote Maya has a domed roof and refreshing water. If that wasn’t enough, this cenote also has a zipline for the more adventurous travelers that are looking for a little adrenaline.
Cenote Siete Bocas
This cenote got its name because of its 7 different openings/cenotes. Although each one is small, it still offers you the opportunity to experience different types of cenotes. Even though the entrance cost is more expensive than others, it gives you a great bang for your buck.
Cenote Chulul
This beautiful cenote is a little further than the others. Although it’s a longer drive, it also means that it’s not as crowded as the others. This means more space for yourself and better pictures.
